Many of my friends belive that while homework educates us it does nothing to improve our social skills. If we are to receive
any homework at all then we have agreed it should be social tasks that include speaking to people.
Rather than trapping us at a desk for an hour and a half every night why don't they give us something better to do?
We came up with ideas for a substitue for the reclusive homeworks we are usually set-
counting (trees ect.)
observing (looking at the moon ect.)
drawing (draw star contellations)
research (that doesn't involve computers)
collecting (materials for DT)
construction (making things)
recycling (take home school rubbish and recycle it)
current affairs (watch news on telly, read newspapers, listen to radio)
fund raising and charity work (thinking of ways to raise money, getting sponsored, organizing events)
That sounds alot better. For our enjoyment and for the rest of the environment.
